Shady Side is based on the nighttime lights of my favorite neighborhood in my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dotted with parks and rolling hills, it is a beautiful and quaint town during the day and at night. Shady Side is home to Frick Park, a woodland oasis in the middle of the residential and urban world. As a kid, I loved to watch the city lights as we rode through on hot summer nights. As a teenager, I loved to get lost in the trails in an attempt to escape the chaos of the modern world.
